If a user encounters any page on this site which requests such information, it should be closed immediately.

Contact & Communication

Users of this website who contact Little Chums by email using the contact information on the ‘contact us’ page, do so at their own discretion.  Any personal information provided by email is kept private and stored securely using only online systems, until a time it is no longer required or has no use, as detailed in the UK Data Protection Act 1998 and the wider EU GDPR laws.

Any information submitted by email is used only to provide users with further information about childcare products and services, to communicate any important news and announcements, to send invoices and/or to assist users in answering any questions or queries that are submitted.

User details are NEVER passed on to any third parties and users have the right to request any personably identifiable information to be deleted at any point.  Once users engage in contact by email or telephone, data protection cover passes from this website privacy policy to the Little Chums general ‘Data Protection, Confidentiality and Privacy Policy’, which is available separately on request.

External Links

Although this website only looks to include quality, safe and relevant external links to other websites, users should always adopt a policy of caution before clicking them.

This website cannot guarantee or verify the contents of any externally linked website despite their best efforts. Users should therefore note they click on external links at their own risk and this website and it's owners cannot be held liable for any damages or implications caused by visiting any external links mentioned.

Social Media Platforms

Little Chums will never ask for personal or sensitive information through social media platforms and encourages users wishing to discuss sensitive details to contact through primary communication channels such as telephone or email.

Users are advised to use social media platforms wisely and engage on them with due care and caution in regard to their own privacy and personal details.  When using our social media pages, this privacy policy is no longer valid and the duty of privacy passes to that of the individual social media platforms and their own policies.

ClassDojo App

At Little Chums, we use the 'ClassDojo' App to send photo updates about children to parents.

Should they choose to use this system, users must agree that Little Chums cannot be held responsible for the security of this external online system and cannot be held liable for any issues encountered on personal devices either during installation or use.  Parents must direct all data protection and privacy concerns to the ‘ClassDojo’ website itself.  Information can be found here...

Please note, for security purposes we do not store any private information on the 'ClassDojo' system, other than a child’s first name (and surname initial if needed).  The device used to administer this system never leaves the Little Chums premises.

Shortened URL Links

Little Chums may occasionally share web links to relevant external web pages or resources.  We use a service called 'Bitly' to shorten URL's
(web addresses) that we deem overly long. Such links will start with 'bit.ly' and generally be followed by a short section identifying Little Chums and the purpose of the link.  For example, 'bit.ly/chumsphotos' links you to our photo gallery page.

Please be aware that, by default, some social media platforms also shorten lengthy URL's which we may use.  Please refer to individual social media platforms privacy statements for information about these.

Users are advised to take caution and use good judgement before clicking any shortened URL's. Despite the best efforts to ensure only genuine URL's are published, many social media platforms are prone to spam and hacking and therefore this website and it's owners cannot be held liable for any damages or implications caused by visiting any shortened links.
