The main nursery is open between 7.45am and 5.30pm.  We offer a fixed number of rota sessions and term-time only contracts, but these are subject to availability only.

Little Chums offers full day childcare, half-day sessions (morning and afternoon) as well as various clubs and 'add-on' services.  We also offer earlier starts.  All of these services include snacks and meals as part of the childcare fees you pay; there are no hidden costs.

Little Chums provides almost everything to ensure your child’s day is a happy and productive one!  All you provide are nappies, wet wipes and formula milk, if your child starts when they are a baby. When they are older and play or explore outside, you provide a sun hat and sun-cream or suitable waterproof coat and wellies depending on the weather!

Transport

Transport to and from schools for some of our services is in the Little Chums cars, of which we have sole use.

Our cars have full specialist nursery insurance, are driven by staff with full, clean licenses and are equipped with the legally required high backed booster seats.

The cars are inspected weekly by our nursery mechanic (who is a family member of the owners/managers) and are serviced regularly.

Planning

Little Chums believes that play and use of the outdoor environment is an essential part of any child's learning and development.

A full range of activities and learning experiences is available to all of our children, planned by our dedicated Childcare Manager.

Our planning displayed on our planning boards, please ask to see them when you visit us!

Settling In

Little Chums offers  free “settling in” visits of an hour or two before your child’s official start date.

These visits enable you and, most importantly, your child to become familiar with their new and exciting environment as well as offering an opportunity to become acquainted with a friendly, caring member of staff who will care for your child day after day -
your child’s 'Key Worker'.

Wrap Around Care

Little Chums operates a wrap around service to selected nurseries and schools. We will take/collect your child to/from school for their morning or afternoon session and care for them at Little Chums for the rest of the day.

This service includes all snacks and meals.

Please contact us for information about which schools we offer this service for.

Holiday Club

Our holiday club is open during all school holidays and is staffed by people who have Playwork qualifications as well as their Childcare qualifications.

Holiday Club activities involve arts and crafts, outdoor games, visits to local libraries and much more!

Breakfast, lunch, small snacks and afternoon tea is provided.

Breakfast & After School

Does your child attend school?

Our Breakfast and After-School clubs can provide breakfast and then take your child to school and/or collect your child when their school day finishes and provide a light tea.
