In a nutshell, Little Chums provides almost everything to ensure your child’s day is a happy and productive one! All you provide are nappies, wet wipes and formula milk, if your child starts when they are a baby. When they are older and play or explore outside, you provide a sun hat and sun-cream or suitable waterproof coat and wellies depending on the weather!
Baby Room
We care for babies (0 to 18 months approx.) in our dedicated Baby Room. The Staff to Child ratio is 1:3. Our baby room provides a cosy, nurturing environment where parents can be reassured that their “precious little ones” are cared for by qualified and experienced 'key workers'.
We follow your home routines (sleep & changing patterns, feeding routines, etc.), ensuring continuity for your child. We have a separate sleep room and changing area for babies. The Baby Room has it's own separate entrance covered by CCTV.
Tots Room
We care for 'tots' (18 months to 2 years approx.) in our dedicated Tots Room, which acts as a transition room between Baby Room and Toddler Room.
As with Baby Room, the Staff to Child ratio is 1:3 and children are cared for by qualified and experienced 'key workers'.
Tots have a separate sleep room and exclusive bathroom with changing area. As in Baby Room, home routines are followed (sleep & changing patterns, feeding routines, etc.). The Tots Room has it's own separate entrance covered by CCTV.
Toddler Room
We accommodate toddlers (2-3 year olds) in a dedicated Toddler Room. The Staff to Child ratio is 1:4. Our toddler room provides a warm relaxed environment for curious little minds to explore and develop with the aid of our qualified and experienced staff.
As with Baby and Tots Rooms, we aim to follow your home routines to ensure continuity for your child, including activities such as potty/toilet training. Toddlers have a sleep room, exclusive bathroom with changing area and smaller, child-sized toilet cubicles.
The Toddler Room has it's own separate entrance covered by CCTV.
Pre-School Building
Preschool offers a wide range of activities to extend development and to provide opportunities for various experiences for this age range - we
believe in placing great emphasis on learning through play and the
outdoor environment.

Our Preschool building has an exclusive bathroom with child-sized toilet cubicles, a disabled bathroom with changing area, cloakrooms, kitchenette and it's own separate entrance covered by CCTV.
Outdoor Spaces
We have two large play areas with fake grass and equipment made of environmentally friendly, natural materials. This outdoor equipment is for a range of ages and is used throughout the year to practise balance, climbing, coordination and fine and gross motor skills, with an element of managed risk to ensure your child’s health, wellbeing and development.
The children also help the farmer with some of his annual activities, including tending and harvesting his crops of strawberries, pumpkins, sunflowers and maize. Occasional rides on tractors are also on the cards when the farmer isn’t too busy!
Additional Facilities
Our separate ‘messy’ areas have equipment and resources for children to explore art, craft and malleable play. These areas are replenished frequently and will enable your child to enjoy their creativity without you having to worry about any mess at home! Leave room on your fridge for the latest masterpieces!
There are quiet reading areas with a range of fiction and non-fiction books in the majority of ours rooms/areas.
Also in the Preschool building is a small technology area, with laptops, a printer, digital cameras and microscopes and more!
The Little Chums bathrooms have been designed with hygiene, privacy and the environment in mind. The child-sized toilets are in cubicles, the taps are temperature controlled and switch themselves off, while hand dryers improve hygiene and means less paper hand towel waste.
Parking
There is ample off road, free private parking at the bottom of our private driveway, for the sole use of our parents and visitors.
